WORLD SYNOPSIS

Every production has its own unique challenge.
For this one, it was the ice.
We filmed Pregnant With A Hockey Star's Baby in just eight production days, but had only half a day to capture every on-ice sequence featured throughout the entire series. Every hockey play, skating montage, arena entrance, and game moment had to be meticulously planned before the cameras rolled. Talk about a slippery slope.
Director Amanda Fallon Smith worked closely with Meg Bush and Tyler Scherer to carefully shape the emotional core of the story. Together they developed Katy Monroe's quiet resilience while finding the perfect balance for Brad Conner, allowing him to be confident and charismatic without ever losing the vulnerability that makes audiences fall for him.
The Atlanta IceForum proved to be the perfect home for the production. Their staff welcomed our team with incredible generosity, and the local hockey players brought authenticity and energy that made the opening sequence feel like a real professional game rather than a staged production.
One of our favorite behind-the-scenes moments came from Tyler Scherer himself. In addition to starring as Brad Conner, Tyler also served as the hockey coordinator, designing the entire opening hockey sequence. As if that wasn't enough, he landed the signature through-the-legs backward pass on the very first take, instantly becoming one of the crew's favorite memories from production.
Like every Cosmic production, the project was designed simultaneously for both widescreen and vertical delivery, ensuring every emotional beat and every hockey moment translated naturally regardless of how audiences experienced the story.
